Loading Your Premium Card
You load your Zypto Premium Visa Card with crypto directly in the Zypto app. Your crypto is converted to fiat balance (USD) at the moment you load, so the spending value is locked in at the current rate. Once loaded, funds are available on your card immediately.
A 3% load fee applies to each top-up. This fee is shown in the app before you confirm.
Option 1: Load From Your Zypto Wallet
This is the most common way to load your card.
Open the Zypto app and go to your Premium card.
Tap "Load" or "Top Up".
Select the wallet and cryptocurrency you want to use from your Zypto wallet.
Enter the amount you want to load (in USD).
Review the total including the 3% load fee and any blockchain gas fees.
Confirm the transaction.
Make sure you have enough of the chain's native token (ETH, BNB, SOL, etc.) in your wallet to cover gas fees. If you don't, you'll see an "insufficient gas" error. See our Gas Fees article for help.
Option 2: Load From an External Wallet or Exchange
If your crypto is in an external wallet or on an exchange, you can use External Payments to load your card.
Go to your Premium card in the app and tap "Load".
Select "External Payments".
Enter the amount you want to load.
The app will generate a payment address and QR code.
Send the crypto from your external wallet or exchange to this address on the correct blockchain network.
Once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, the funds will appear on your card.
Make sure you send on the correct network. Sending crypto on the wrong chain may result in lost funds.
Option 3: Load via KuCoin Pay
If you have funds on KuCoin, you can load your card directly from your KuCoin balance using KuCoin Pay integration in the Zypto app.
Tips for Loading
Use low-fee chains: Loading with crypto on Base, BNB Smart Chain, or Solana keeps gas costs to a minimum compared to Ethereum.
Check gas first: Make sure you have the chain's native token for gas fees before attempting to load. A small amount of ETH, BNB, or SOL goes a long way.
Funds are instant: Once your crypto transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, the USD value appears on your card immediately.
Load fee is 3%: This is applied to every load and is shown in the app before you confirm.
Common Issues
"Insufficient gas" or "Insufficient funds for gas"
You need a small amount of the chain's native token to pay for the transaction. See our Gas Fees article for details on how to get the gas you need.
Loaded but balance not showing
Give it a few minutes for the blockchain to confirm the transaction. If your balance hasn't updated after 15 minutes, contact support with the transaction hash and your email address.
Sent to wrong address or wrong chain
Crypto transactions are irreversible. If you sent to the wrong address or chain, contact support as soon as possible. Recovery depends on the specifics, but we'll do our best to help.
