This step-by-step guide will ensure that you use WalletConnect effectively on the Zypto app. This tutorial will instruct you on how to connect to a website using WalletConnect and how to safely disconnect or log out from the website using the Zypto app via WalletConnect.
Step 1: Open the Dapp on Your Web Browser
Open your web browser on your desktop.
Go to the website of the Dapp you want to use. In this example, we'll use PancakeSwap.
Step 2: Connect Your Wallet
Click on the "Connect Wallet" button on the Dapp.
The Dapp will display various options for connecting your wallet, including different types of wallets.
Look for and click on the WalletConnect icon.
A QR code will appear on your screen.
Step 3: Use the Zypto App to Scan the QR Code
Open the Zypto app on your mobile device.
Click on the gear icon located in the top right corner of the app.
Select the third option from the menu, which is "WalletConnect."
Click on the plus icon in the top right corner.
Provide access to your camera if prompted, or ensure camera permissions are enabled in your settings.
Point your device’s camera at the QR code displayed on your desktop.
Step 4: Connect Your Wallet
Once the QR code is detected, the Zypto app will prompt you to choose the wallet you want to connect.
Scroll left or right to select the desired wallet.
Click on the "Connect" button.
The WalletConnect page will update and show you the website you are connected to.
Your wallet is now connected to the ADapp using WalletConnect.
How to Disconnect from WalletConnect
Step 1: Open WalletConnect Page
Navigate to the WalletConnect page within your Zypto app where your connected websites are listed.
Find and click on the website you want to disconnect from.
Step 2: Remove the Connection
After selecting the website, a menu with various options will appear.
Click on the "Remove Connection" button.
Step 4: Confirm Disconnection
You will receive a prompt asking you to confirm the disconnection.
Click "Disconnect" to confirm.
Step 5: Verify Disconnection
The website will be removed from the list of connected websites.
If it was the only connected website, the page will display "No active connections."
You have now successfully disconnected from the website using WalletConnect.
